Hunt End Books

Hunt End Books began in 1992 when local author and historian, Anne Bradford, was doing some research in the local library and she came across a collection of Victorian ghost stories. She realised that these tales captured the ethos of the time in a way no historian could hope to emulate. The library staff suggested that she updated and published them. The resulting book was of such interest and so popular that Anne has continued to collect real-life experiences of strange events and has now published her twelfth book on this subject.

Anne's main interest is as an oral historian, and she has published three oral history books, Royal Enfield, Stourport-on-Severn and Old Redditch Voices.

John Bradford, her husband, is a keen walker and photographer and decided to publish his photographs and comments from a year-long walk along the river Severn. This was such a success that John continued it with the River Avon, and recently, with the River Teme. These three books are in full colour photography together with John's observations on various flora and fauna, sites of historical significance, etc.
